Volunteer Program

ASA is looking for skilled volunteers with an interest in the development sector who can commit upto 5 months or more to contribute to ASA’s aims, whilst gaining practical experience and learning about development issues in rural India. As a volunteer, there are a number of opportunities within ASA’s programme theme areas, which includes:

Land and Water Resources Development |
| •
Agriculture Productivity Enhancement and Agribusiness Promotion for Small holders |
| •
Institutional Credit for Agriculture |
| •
Research and Training |
Depending on your skills and interests, and following an induction to ASA, you will be placed either at our head office in Bhopal or one of our field units in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. You will be assigned tasks and (as appropriate to the position) receive training and support to deliver these projects.
There will be no fees charge by ASA towards this placement. However the applicants will bear the costs on their own with regards to
• Accommodation (ASA will help to find suitable accommodation in Bhopal and field units as appropriate)
• Food
• Airfare to & from country of residence
• Travel & accommodation during field visits and other visits related to the assignment
• Visa & Insurance
• Other Miscellaneous costs if any
